Tile-inspired colour: the Triana crochet-along has begun
Colour, texture & a little imagination

A colourful new project

A whole blanket of little yarn tiles? Yes please. Catherine Crochets and Carmen of Off The Hook Creative started their Triana Blanket crochet-along on 23 October 2026. The project combines 20 tapestry-crochet tiles using four designs, with a name inspired by Seville's Triana quarter.

Why it caught our eye

Working one tile at a time sounds like a friendly way to explore colour without staring at an entire blanket-sized row. The designers describe the project as suitable for competent beginners, and there are video tutorials for its parts. Check the terminology carefully: US instructions and UK support are mentioned on the project page.

Before joining in

Visit the designer's page for the current schedule, materials and pattern options. The artwork here is our own colourwork illustration, not a preview of the Triana design. If tapestry is new to you, try our little colour-change lesson first.
